The other boys don't respond as they dig into their meals, each intent on finishing as fast as possible. Watari sighs, rolling his eyes as he crosses his arms over his chest and smiles at Kindaichi. "It really /is/ a good meal, you know."
Kindaichi(more) smiles, face flushing red as he half-nods, half-bows. "Thanks."
Watari sits beside Yahaba, nudging him gently as he begins to eat his own meal. The brunette only hums, smiling into his plate.
After making sure the oven is off and the stovetop is cool, Kindaichi sits with them. They've known for years that cooking makes Kindaichi happy-it helps him remember his mom, feel as if she's never left. None of them mention it now, even though they all know it's the reason why Kindaichi pushed for making dinner today.(less)
