I am just another ball added to your juggling act.
You didn't expect me… but you didn't turn me away.
You just cannot help yourself…can you?
Adding just one more to your vast collection.
Boasting that this one is your favorite…but you said that about the last one…and the(more) one before that.
It's understandable. W are all so very beautiful.
And you just love shiny, new things to play with.
You also love a challenge… and you are, after all… the best.
Talent aside, you are plagued with good intentions and try as you might, you cannot give your favorites the attention they deserve…
Since we are all your favorites.
You toss us all in the air one by one...
Each one gets a brief moment in the palm of your hand… Savoring that split second in your presence… in contact with your flesh… until cast back out into the rotation... quickly replaced by another… and another… and another…
each of us patiently waiting a turn to be held again...
Hoping that this go 'round you'll hold on a little longer… a little tighter… and the others will be dropped.
But, to the juggler, one ball just isn't any fun…
I think there are a lot of people out there who have one too many kids. Even more people who have two or more too many kids. I love children. But there are a lot of them out there already. And like this lady here? She's holding a baby,(more) bouncing with him the way mothers do (I'm pretty sure it's a him, because it's wearing navy blue. And you'd never put navy blue on a girl!). At the table are a dad and two other kids, a little girl, maybe three, wearing awesome pink sneakers with velcro straps, lovely striped leggings in pink, purple, and green, and a great pink dress with a fabulous huge paisley print on it and a hood! Her hair is up in a very small ponytail, and she has a headband on, too. Her big brother, five or six, is wearing sweatpants, navy with a yellow stripe down the sides, and a t-shirt, and sneakers. He's blonde. So is she. I bet the baby will be too. When he/it gets some hair. The mom is blond.
Anyway. They're a lovely family. But yeah. At least one too many. Negative population growth, people. It's a good idea.(less)
