Who are those people that can quarterly or annually or biennially clear out a chunk of their belongings - just throw them out or donate them to charity or sell them on their lawn - and not think twice about it?
I'd like to talk with one an
(more)d see if I can join that club and if they can teach me their ways of living or rules of thumb or super cool magical tricks to not overthinking stuff. I'll pay a nominal membership fee to learn their secrets and even take the quiz at the end to show that I was listening and taking notes and learning. And at the end of the course I won't save those notes, I won't need to, because I've already engrained the lessons inside me and moved beyond needing a physical reminder of it all.
I'll have boiled down the tenets into easy-to-remember steps and I'll go through everything in front of me here and the throw away pile will be human-sized and the keep pile will be sufficiently small, maybe small dog-sized? Litter of kittens-sized?
I'll work on creating units of measurements based on animals next, because that won't create a mess. I know how big animals are, and if I don't I can look it up on the Internet, where everything you read is true, and I can publish it electronically for the world's edification and nothing physical will have been created, only a whole new way of appraising mass and volume, that's all.
It will keep my mind occupied just long enough to not run after those now-gone things and fall back into their trap of longing and emotions and feelings. And then I'll do my breathing exercises and move forward with moving on.(less)
