In walks this handsome man. His narrow brown eyes scan the room when he enters, as if looking for wild animals hiding in corner. He will do his best not to make eye contact with anyone in the area. He had to muster up boldness to be here. His(more) brain tells him fight or f light. He doesn't look panicked. But he is.
His greatest fear is that someone will talk to him. His greatest fear is someone may never talk to him.
Who would think he was scared to death just to be in the presence of people, whether they be strangers or family?
A "Can I help you?" Or "How are you doing today" will cause sweat to break out on his forehead and a strong urge to run away.
Nobody would have thought that he was petrified from the moment he wakes up to the moment he falls asleep.
Nobody would think that this handsome young man is begging and pleading, "Ignore me." at the same time, "Somebody be my friend."
He is so alone in this and to reach him would take forever. Who has the time to get to know someone who will push you away and refuse invitations for months?
Who would ever realize that with every attempt you are chipping away at bricks and one day you will get through? He is worth it. If you try you will see how wonderfully engaging he can be. You will see that once you reach that heart there is fierce loyalty that you could never find in another. He may seem impenetrable but he is not.
